The 26th Annual Children’s Halloween Parade, sponsored by Community Board 2 and New York University, was, as usual, frighteningly fun for one and all. The kids, accompanied by lots of “big kids,” too, as in parents, paraded around Washington Square in their costumes. That was followed by free trick-or-treat bags, performances, games and rides. The event was founded in 1990 by the late Arty Strickler, who was then Community Board 2 chairperson.
