The NYPD is investigating the death of a man who was shot in the lobby of a Brooklyn building early Friday morning.
Authorities say that at 4:42 a.m. on Aug. 13, police responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot in the lobby of the Linden Wortman Houses, located at 250 Wortman Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers found a 48-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot to the face.
A spokesperson for the NYPD stated that the victim had been in an argument with an unknown suspect prior to the shooting. The victim was to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
