Police Blotter

Bull market

Employees at the Duane Reade at 67 Broad St. stopped a man trying to get out of the place at 5:30 p.m. Tues. July 31 without paying for the 24 cans of Red Bull that he had taken from the shelves. Vernon Price, 50, was charged with burglary instead of grand larceny because police say he violated a no-trespassing affidavit he had signed in June not to enter the store.

Money stolen

The resident of a second floor apartment at 19 Warren St. left her bag with an envelope containing $4,900 in cash on a table in the hall while she went to the store at 3:30 p.m. Tues. July 31, police said. When she came back, the bag was still there but the envelope with the money was gone, police said.
