An iconic symbol of the hippie generation, a Volkswagen van with a psychedelic paintjob and stickers like “Arms Are for Hugging” was spotted parked on a Village street the other week. The funky vehicle brought back fond memories for a Villager photographer, who wrote: “Once so commonplace, this blast from the past was a delightful sight for aging eyes.”
