Revolutions vs. Yorkville 9
The Revolutions Senior Softball team hosted Yorkville, and registered one of the great comebacks of the year. Alessandra got the start for the Revolutions and gave up only one run on two hits, with one walk. A run was saved in the second inning during a play at the plate by Jessica. The Revolutions were able to tie it with two hits, with doubles by Olivia Lautin and Ariana Eleftrakis in the bottom of the first.
Yorkville mounted a six-run rally in the top of the third inning. With the score 7 – 1, the Revolutions were able to get back one run by Lautin, who scored off of a hit by Alessandra. After a scoreless fourth, Yorkville was able to add two additional runs, despite outstanding pitching by Bria Schirripa. In the bottom of the sixth, the Revs were able to get one back after a Sarah McGowan led off with a single and was driven home on a sacrifice R.B.I. by Lautin.
With the score 9 – 3 going into the seventh and last inning, nearly perfect pitching saved the game for the Revolutions. Bria gave up only one hit, holding Yorkville scoreless as the Revolutions’ bats produced hit after hit in the bottom of the inning. Bria led off with a single, followed by a two-run home run from Caroline Rauffenbart. Kat Michaels reached on a single to be followed by Jessica Consalvo, who reached on a walk. Pinch hitter Hailey had an R.B.I. single. With runners at first and second base, Sarah McGowan smacked a two R.B.I. single to bring the Revs within two runs of winning.
Olivia Lautin singled for the third time in the game, bringing the winning run to first. Alessandra drove in Sarah and Olivia with a two-R.B.I. smash double to right center field to secure the Revolutions’ 10 –9 victory in an amazing seven-run rally.

Blue Jays 12, Tigers 6
The Tigers hosted a rematch against the Blue Jays on Sunday. With Lindsay Holcomb getting the start for the Tigers, the Blue Jays jumped out to an early 3 — 0 lead on hits from Joseph DeMarco, Lucas Ortega, Kyle Maer and Campbell Weaver. The Blue Jays were able to add to their lead with three walks, one hit and one error. The Tigers’ damage was limited by a great throw from Jack Finio, from the left field off a line drive double from Kyle Maer, to Tiger catcher Peter Manny, who tagged Lucas Ortega out at the plate. Ortega controlled the bottom of the inning for the Jays, only giving up one hit and one walk.
After a scoreless third inning, the Blue Jays struck again, scoring four runs on four hits, including a big line drive double from Weaver and some errors by the Tigers. The Tigers were able to gain back some ground on a triple from Wyatt Gray and some good base running by Finio, who scored after reaching base on a walk.
Following a scoreless fifth, the Jays were able to add two runs in the top of the sixth, a single from Ortega and a double from Meyer. With the score 12 – 3, the Tigers were able to mount a comeback in the bottom of the inning with a lead off single from Isaac Simons. Finio was able to add another run for the Tigers by stealing home after reaching base on a walk, but the Blue Jays held on to their victory.
