Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer is planning two open meetings on issues affecting Downtown residents. First, on Wed. Feb. 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Stringer will host a Lower Manhattan town hall at the Museum of Jewish History at 36 Battery Place. Accompanied by Community Board 1 representatives and local politicians, Stringer will listen to community concerns and address topics such as public safety and transportation.
Then, on Sat. March 3, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Stringer will host a borough-wide conference on the Mitchell-Lama middle class housing program. The conference, to be held at the John Jay College Lynch Theater on 10th Ave. between 58th and 59th Sts., will discuss both the program itself and the issues surrounding the privatization of Mitchell-Lama complexes.
