Vietnam War veteran Dan Wilcox joined thousands of antiwar protesters who marched through the rain Saturday from the Flatiron Building to Foley Sq. in Lower Manhattan. They called for an end to the war in Iraq. The national protest was organized by United for Peace and Justice and held in 11 cities. Although the march was smaller than some previous antiwar protests, organizers said the New York action drew the largest number of people than any of the other cities — 45,000.
