Cops investigating death of man found floating in the Hudson River in Manhattan

Cops are investigating the death of a man who was found floating in the Hudson River on Tuesday morning.

Authorities say that at 6:06 a.m. on May 19, the NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding a body in the water in the vicinity of West 59th Street and Pier 99. Upon their arrival, officers found an unidentified man, unconscious and unresponsive.

The man was pulled out of the water and declared dead by EMS at a nearby Department of Sanitation facility, located at 925 West 59th Street. 

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
