The Giants just keep adding wide receivers.

General manager Joe Schoen inked former Jets receiver Jamison Crowder to a one-year deal, according to CBS’ Josina Anderson. It continued the push by the Giants’ front office to give quarterback Daniel Jones a variety of options to throw to next season.

Crowder is coming off a year in which he played in just four games for the Buffalo Bills due to an ankle injury that put him on the injured reserve. In the four games, he had six catches for 60 yards and no touchdowns.

The signing brings Crowder back to the Meadowlands having played for the Jets from 2019 to 2021. The upcoming season will be his ninth in the NFL.

In total, Crowder has 415 receptions for 4,667 yards and 28 touchdowns over the course of his career.

Crowder is now headed to New York with a chance to play a big role in the offense next season as long as he’s able to stay healthy. The 29-year-old told could be a valuable slot receiver for the Giants, though there is plenty of competition for reps.

The Giants have made it a point of emphasis during the offseason to bolster the group they had. Tight end Darren Waller was brought in via a trade with Las Vegas and they signed Parris Campbell to a deal.

Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard were both re-signed as was Isaiah Hodgins. They’ll also have Wan’Dale Robinson in the fold next season as well.

Outside of that, the Giants have been talking with prospective wide receivers in this year’s draft. Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll met with Ohio State’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba and they are expected to meet with Zay Flower from Boston College on Thursday.
