Five-time Emmy Award nominee Idris Elba, who plays the villain Krall in “Star Trek Beyond,” opening Friday, addressed fan clamor for him to be the next James Bond on Thursday’s “Good Morning America.”
Elba, 43, told the show’s host Michael Strahan that “if it was to happen it would be the will of a nation because there’s not been talks with me and the studios about any of that. But everywhere I go, people [are] wanting that to happen.”
Then he added: “I’m really honest . . . I think I’m too old for that, man. I can’t be running around in cars and ladies and martinis — who wants to do that?” he said teasingly as the audience laughed. “It sounds terrible!”
