Cops investigating shooting that left a man injured in Brooklyn

Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured in Brooklyn early Thursday morning.

Police say that at 2:46 a.m. on July 1, officers responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot in the vicinity of Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers from the 73rd Precinct found a 28-year-old man who had been shot several times in the stomach.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.

At this time, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
