A man was stabbed in the neck during an attempted robbery in Times Square over the weekend, police said.
According to police, the 58-year-old victim was approached by the suspect, who tried to rob him at West 47th Street and Eighth Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police said the 25-year-old suspect then stabbed the victim in the neck with a pair of scissors.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center and is expected to recover, police said.
The suspect was taken into custody and police said the scissors were recovered at the scene. So far, there is no word on charges in the case.
