Subway attack
A man on a northbound No. 5 train stuck a gun in a victim’s face as the train was pulling into the Broadway-Fulton St station at 11:10 a.m. Thurs. Dec. 11 and ripped a gold chain from the victim’s neck, police said. The victim, who boarded the train in Brooklyn, told police that the suspect, described only as a black man, used his knee and an arm to hold him in his seat during the robbery and fled when the train doors opened.
Luxury cars stolen
A woman who parked her new Mercedes at the northwest corner of Church and Walker Sts. on Wednesday night Dec. 10 returned at 7:30 a.m. the next morning and found it gone, police said. The 2003 model car was valued at $60,000.
A man who parked his 2002 Audi in front of 429 Greenwich St., near Laight St., on Thurs. Dec. 11 found it missing when he returned at 8:15 p.m., police said.
B.P.C. burglar
A burglar who broke a window and entered a construction trailer at 400 North End Ave. some time before 6:30 a.m. Thurs. Dec. 11 got away with computer equipment, police said.
Counter caper
A patron of Kokura restaurant, 19 S. William St., put her bag on top of a counter, stepped away for a few moments and returned at 2:24 p.m. to find it was stolen, police said. The bag had $200 in cash plus credit cards and personal identification.
Back of chair
A customer at a bar at 93 Pearl St. draped her bag on the back of a chair in a bar at 93 Pearl St. on Tuesday night. Dec. 10 and when she was ready to leave after closing Wednesday morning found that her Prada wallet, worth $200, with credit cards and I.D. were gone.
Car break-in
A thief or thieves broke the rear window of a car parked on Charlton St. between Sixth Ave. and Varick St. sometime before 7:30 a.m. on Wed. Dec. 10 and stole several bags containing clothes and camera equipment, police said.
