Hundreds of East Side kids each got free gifts and got to meet Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at the Ninth Precinct’s Annual Children’s Christmas Event on Saturday. The great gift giveaway lasted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A stilt walker, with the Ninth’s Detective Jaime Hernandez, at right, and the N.Y.U. Violets bobcat mascot, below, added to the merriment. The event was sponsored by the Ninth Precinct Community Council.
