[media-credit name=”Photo by Tequila Minsky” align=”aligncenter” width=”350″][/media-credit]Thompson St. was the set last week for the Coen brothers’ latest film, “Inside Llewyn Davis,” about the 1960s Greenwich Village folk music scene. Rocco’s sign — still there after the restaurant’s recent closing — added authenticity to the filming, along with vintage Chevys, a Cadillac, a Dodge and even a Studebaker that were brought in for the shoot. In the scene above, Oscar Isaac, who plays the lead role, is moving into an apartment on Thompson St. Joel and Ethan Coen were on the scene directing. The movie has also recently been shooting in the East Village.
