Bronx detectives are on the hunt for a pack of brutes who attacked and choked a senior on Friday for a wad of cash and a cellphone, authorities said.

Police sources said the violent assault unfolded at 3:20 a.m. on July 26 at the intersection of Davidson Avenue and West Kingsbridge Road in Kingsbridge Heights.

A 69-year-old man was walking through the area, authorities said, when an unidentified man approached from behind and placed him in a chokehold.

As the suspect strangled the victim, cops reported, about six other men appeared and began rifling through the victim’s pockets. The group grabbed hold of $200 and the victim’s cellphone, then fled in an unknown direction, officers said.

The incident was reported to the 52nd Precinct. EMS rushed the senior to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspects in hopes the public will be able to help identify them.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA). You can also submit tips online at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or on X (formerly Twitter) @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
