Friends share ‘Eddie stories’ at memorial

Seventy-five people attended a memorial service for Edward Graham, the “Mayor of E. Fourth St.,” and shared their stories about him on Sunday at Peter Jarema Funeral Home on E. Seventh St.

Last week’s obituary in The Villager incorrectly stated that Graham, 62, died on Jan. 20 and would be cremated. In fact, he died on Jan. 13; and while Graham had expressed a desire to be cremated, he left no written note, so his wish could not be carried out under the law.

Graham was buried on Monday in Forest Green Park Cemetery in Morganville, N.J.

Neighbors raised more than $3,000, more than enough to cover all Graham’s arrangements, plus a little left over for a memorial plaque to be installed at a future date by “Eddie’s Tree” on E. Fourth St.
