A man was arrested in connection to a Washington Heights shooting that left a man dead back in January.
Police say that at 1:56 a.m. on Jan. 16, officers from the 33rd Precinct responded to a call regarding a shooting at 501 West 176th Street. Upon their arrival, officers found 44-year-old Lamar Brown, a resident of the building, in the lobby unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Brown was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
On Dec. 14, police announced that 25-year-old Jose Reyes was arrested in connection to the shooting. He was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence.
