Police are looking for this suspect who allegedly stole a woman’s necklace on a subway train this month.

Police in Brooklyn are looking for a brazen subway-riding thief who, in two separate incidents, targeted women for their necklaces aboard trains last week.

The first robbery unfolded on July 7 at around noon. A 21-year-old woman was on board a Canarsie-bound L train that was approaching the Jefferson Street station when a unidentified man attempted to snatch the  necklace she was wearing from around her neck, police said.

After a few tugs, the woman screamed. Realizing the chain would not break, the perp left without the bling, fleeing the train as soon as possible to parts unknown, police said.

After the first failed attempt at thievery, the perp was back for another try on July 10 aboard a Manhattan-bound M train. While the train approached Lorimer Street in Brooklyn at around 10:20 a.m., the crook approached a 40-year-old woman, successfully snatched her necklace and fled the train as it stopped, police said.

It is unclear what kind of necklace was stolen. No injuries resulted from either incident.

Police on Tuesday released a photo and video of the suspect at large. He is seen wearing an orange shirt, blue snow hat and a COVID-style mask on this face.
