Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni can be a bit of a polarizing figure because of his antics, and Giants safety Julian Love made it known how he viewed them.
Love was appearing on Thursday’s episode of Good Morning Football on NFL Network when he was asked about the Eagles coach. The Giants’ safety didn’t hold back his feelings about Sirianni.
“He’s a guy who, really, is doing a good job because he’s not getting in the way of his team,” Love told the hosts. “He has an experienced roster from top to bottom — offense and defense.”
As for the antics that Sirianni has displayed at times, including a shot of him mean-mugging the camera, Love didn’t seem to appreciate too much.
“I don’t like it. I don’t like it at all,” Love said. “He’s in it for a free ride right now. You guys can coach this team. I mean, come on.”

Love’s comments likely won’t sit well with Eagles fans, who are preparing to watch their team go for their first Super Bowl title since 2017. The Eagles knocked the Giants out of the playoffs this season in 38-7 drubbing of New York in the Divisional Round in January.
The Eagles also handed the Giants two other losses during the regular season, so there isn’t much love loss between the two teams.
Super Bowl week begins next week in Arizona as the Eagles face the Kansas City Chiefs for the NFL crown. It’s likely that Love’s comments do make it back to Sirianni when reporters start to grill him and the Eagles players in the days leading up to the big game.
And it will likely be something that they remember when the Eagles and Giants square off against one another next season. Add this as just another footnote in the long-running rivalry between the Giants and Eagles
